Difference between infrared sauna and steam sauna?

Buying a sauna allows you to benefit from many advantages that will be very different depending on whether you choose a steam sauna or an infrared cabin.
It was therefore important to know the differences between these two models: the heat emitted, the heating effect, perceived sensations...

Infrared sauna

The infrared sauna heats your body directly using infrared panels placed evenly throughout the cabin. Our saunas are equipped with all-carbon infrared panels for a longer lifespan and wider heat distribution compared to ceramic panels.
The infrared sauna has the special property of emitting completely dry heat that penetrates deep into the skin. This heat, much milder than a steam sauna, allows users to stay longer in the cabin to increase the benefits and continue an activity such as reading during the session. It has the advantage of a very short warm-up time, approximately 15 minutes, and less energy consumption than a steam sauna, 1200 to 3000 W depending on the model.

Steam sauna

The traditional steam sauna uses an electric heater with lava stones onto which you can pour water to generate steam at your convenience. The steam sauna is designed to heat the air in your cabin, which in turn will heat your body and cause sweating. It spreads heat that is higher in temperature and much more humid than an infrared sauna.
It is therefore advisable to take a few minutes break during your session to rehydrate yourself.
