LightAir IonFlow Evolution Gold purifies the air from fine, ultrafine, and nanoparticles using ionization.

How LightAir IonFlow Evolution 2.0 works:

• The patented IonFlow technology generates billions of electrons per second, which are converted into negative ions.

Scientific studies prove that LightAir IonFlow air purifiers kill viruses

Karolinska Institutet has conducted research studies on the effect of LightAir IonFlow technology on infectious airborne viruses such as influenza, roto, and caliciviruses, as well as other airborne microbes.

The seven-year studies prove that the technology both reduces virus concentration in the air and inactivates 97% of airborne viruses, rendering them non-infectious. Animal trials were conducted, and without an air purifier, three out of four animals became infected via airborne viruses from already infected animals. With the IonFlow air purifier turned on, the trials showed that none of the animals became infected.

Do IonFlow air purifiers help against coronavirus?

New test results from the Spanish research institute IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute show that LightAir's IonFlow technology inactivates viruses mimicking SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 in droplet form. The new tests measured different versions of engineered viruses – pseudoviruses – that mimic the entry of specific coronaviruses into cells. The conclusion is that IonFlow technology has a clear inhibitory effect on viral entry when viruses are present in droplet form on exposed surfaces. The ultra-high-density ionization process attacks the virus's protective protein shell and neutralizes it, thereby preventing it from attaching to and infecting human cells.
