What are the benefits of using a Chill Tub?
Some of the potential benefits include reducing muscle soreness, improving recovery time, reducing inflammation, and improving circulation.
It is important to note that Chill Tubs are not suitable for everyone and can be uncomfortable or even dangerous for some individuals. It is always best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new recovery routine.
In addition to physical benefits, Chill Tub can have mental health benefits. Using Chill Tub can help improve your mood and increase mental alertness.
Who is the Chill Tub for?
Chill Tubs are suitable for most people, for the most part, but we recommend taking a cautious approach, and we recommend that individuals with impaired mobility, sensory and/or cognitive abilities only use the Chill Tub if supervised and only if they have the necessary knowledge to use the equipment safely, as well as to understand the hazards that arise from improper use.
Tolerance to cold water varies from person to person, and we recommend that you gradually build up usage time with the Chill Tub and be careful when using it alone.
Children must be closely supervised near the Chill Tub to ensure they do not play with the equipment and do not perform actions that should be performed by adults (cleaning cycles/maintenance). Always fasten the lid when not in use. Small children are not recommended to use the Chill Tub.
Pregnant women should speak to a doctor first; low temperatures are not recommended. Anyone under medical care, such as people with heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, or other health problems, must not use the Chill Tub without first consulting their doctor. People with infectious diseases should not use the Chill Tub without first consulting their doctor.
Can I use the Chill Tub after drinking alcohol?
Do not use the Chill Tub after drinking alcohol or taking drugs. The use of alcohol or drugs can significantly increase the risk of fatal hypothermia when using the Chill Tub.
How long should I stay in a Chill Tub?
How long you can spend in cold water without suffering from hypothermia is determined, among other things, by the water temperature, your body size and shape, your level of cold adaptation, and your experience. Check with your doctor if necessary. Start with safe, short dips of 30 seconds to learn your limits. If you start to feel uncomfortable or start shivering, listen to your body, get out, and warm up slowly by walking around. If you wish, you can check the water temperature before entering the bath to ensure it is at a temperature suitable for your cold exposure experience. The water temperature is displayed by default on the control panel.
