A towel rail can have combined heating from both water and electricity. It is then connected to the central heating system at the same time as an electric heater element is installed. If the temperature in the central heating system drops, which is common, for example, during the summer, the towel rail can be heated by switching on the electric heater element. The electric heater element and valve for the water connection are accessories that are ordered separately with the towel rail.
