An electric towel warmer gets hot by a heating element warming up a liquid in the towel warmer. Some models are filled with liquid upon delivery, while others are filled with deionized water during installation. When ordering an electric towel warmer, a heating element must also be selected. Heating elements are available for concealed or visible cable connections, as well as in different shapes and colors. There are also some towel warmers that are heated with an internal heating wire instead of a heating element. In these cases, the towel warmer is delivered complete with the heating function, and no heating element needs to be selected. Examples of such towel warmers are Snake, Asket, and Spiro.
