An electric towel warmer heats up by an electric heating cartridge warming a liquid inside the towel warmer. Some models are filled with liquid upon delivery, while others are filled with deionized water during installation. When ordering an electric towel warmer, an electric heating cartridge must also be selected. Electric heating cartridges are available for concealed or visible cable connections, and in different shapes and colors. There are also some towel warmers that are heated by an internal heating wire instead of an electric cartridge. In these cases, the towel warmer is delivered complete with the heating function, and no selection of an electric cartridge needs to be made. Examples of such towel warmers are Snake, Asket, and Spiro.
