The ALAVA balance board is a simple yet effective tool for improving core strength, coordination, and balance conveniently in your own home. Thanks to its small size, you can easily take it with you on your travels wherever you go, and with its beautiful and solidly designed aesthetic, you can always keep it close at hand as you don't need to hide it away between your workouts.
The board has been designed to train body control and strength.
By having overall body control, you reduce the risk of injuries, and with balance training, you can improve posture and coordination, as well as recover faster during rehabilitation. Since the exercises are based on bodyweight training and there are infinitely many ways to increase the difficulty, ALAVA suits both those who want to improve their balance and those skilled in board sports. The harder the surface, the faster it goes, so we recommend starting your balance training on a yoga mat or another slightly softer surface. With ALAVA, you are guaranteed to have fun, and it is a challenge for everyone regardless of age and skill, but beware – balancing on the board is so much fun that it's hard to stop once you've started.
The ALAVA balance board is made of durable, high-quality birch plywood and is available in birch and white. The board comes with a fixed cork roller made from natural cork, which can also be used as a massage roller or for activities like Pilates. To avoid slipping, we recommend using the board barefoot or wearing appropriate shoes, and for even better grip, you can also attach the extra anti-slip tape included in the board's packaging. The ALAVA balance board can withstand a load of up to 120 kg and has stops at both ends to prevent it from sliding off the roller.
Please note that the ALAVA birch balance board has been treated with clear wax to highlight the naturally light tone of the birch wood.
The ALAVA balance board is designed in Finland and manufactured in the EU from durable birch plywood. It comes with a 2-year warranty for private use.
In the instruction manual, you will find detailed instructions on how to use the balance board safely.
