Artesa 120x120x40cm is a rectangular planter made of Corten steel, suitable for all types of gardens.
Corten steel is an extremely durable and timeless type of steel, and this planter is made of Class A Corten steel, which is a metal alloy consisting of iron.
Corten steel is strong, ecological, and fully recyclable.
The rusting process of Corten steel often takes more than 1 year, and the final color also varies each time.
This depends on the specific atmosphere and conditions in which the product is located.
The product is delivered in a grey color, and from that moment, the product begins to discolor.
The final color can change from deep orange to dark brown.
The planter contains a drainage hole.
How long does the rusting process take?
- Upon delivery, Geroba's products often do not yet have the beautiful typical orange-brown color.
- The formation of the rust layer begins after 2 to 3 weeks and is only completed after approximately 1.5 years.
- The alternation between wet and dry weather is important for the formation of the protective layer.
- The exact duration largely depends on the weather and the location where you place the product.
Advantages:
- Endless possibilities
- No special maintenance of the planter
- Combination of strength and durability
- Corten steel fits perfectly in both modern and classic gardens
- Ecological as it is fully recyclable
- Class A Corten steel
- UV and frost resistant
Optional:
For those who wish to accelerate the rusting process, we offer optional products, see below.
Information on oxidizing agents that can be used on Geroba's Corten steel products.
- Rust accelerator, Spray bottle 0.5L.
Instructions for use:
- First, thoroughly degrease the Corten steel product.
- Before starting the treatment, allow the product to dry well.
- Then apply undiluted Cortensteel Oxidizer to the surface to be treated.

After drying, spray again to achieve an even surface.
After sufficient rust formation (after one day), the surface can be rinsed thoroughly (low pressure) to remove residual product.
If in doubt, test first on a less visible test area.
