This fire lantern produces a uniquely rotating flame for a fantastic ambiance.
The SPIN fire lantern 120 black is a stylish fire lantern that runs on bioethanol and creates a unique rotating flame.
The impressive flame is generated by air currents being drawn up from below (the so-called chimney effect) in combination with the stainless steel container's "curved grooves," which cause the oxygen to rotate.
This, in turn, results in a beautifully swirling flame.
Once lit, you can enjoy the fire for up to 1.5 hours without refilling.
However, remember not to refill with bioethanol immediately after the flame has gone out, as there is a risk of spontaneous ignition. Instead, wait until the refill canister has cooled down or switch to another canister.
If you wish to extinguish the fire before then, you can do so using the included extinguisher lid, which quickly smothers the flame.
The fire lantern can be placed in the garden, on the balcony, terrace, or even indoors in well-ventilated areas* (the latter does not apply when the lantern is combined with any of the SPIN accessories*).
Accessories available for purchase include an extension rod (for extra height) and a ground spike to transform the lantern into a garden torch (see SPIN ground spike grey and SPIN ground spike oak).

How to light the SPIN fire lantern
Time required: 2 minutes.

Insert the bioethanol canister into the container
Place one of the SPIN refill canisters (we recommend having two) inside the base container.

Fill with bioethanol about four-fifths full
Fill the refill canister with bioethanol, not completely to the top, but about four-fifths full. NOTE: Ensure the bioethanol has at least 80% alcohol so it burns well).

Light the bioethanol with a lighter
Use, for example, an electric lighter to ignite the bioethanol.

Place the glass cylinder on top
Place the glass cylinder on top in its designated position.
- Now you have a beautifully rotating flame!
NOTE: Remember that it's always good to have a fire blanket or extinguisher nearby when you have a live fire going.
How to extinguish the SPIN fire lantern
- Place the included extinguisher lid on top of the glass cylinder
- The flame is now extinguished!
NOTE: If you wish to relight the fire immediately, do not refill the already warmed canister with bioethanol, as there is a risk of spontaneous ignition. Instead, use the unused refill canister.
