Athens by House Nordic features a round, light ceramic tabletop with a white and brown stone pattern above a dark brown base. When the table is closed, the top forms a continuous circle; when you need more space, the table can be extended into an elongated shape. It is precisely the transition between a round everyday dining area and a longer dining table that sets this model apart from the fixed Athens tables in the series.
Two separate extension tops are included. With one top, you get a medium-sized table, and with both, a longer dining surface when more people gather. You do not therefore have to choose between a round table for everyday use and a long top for larger groups. The ceramic surface has a stone-like appearance but is not made of solid natural stone.
This is Athens with an extension function and two included extension tops. Other Athens dining tables have fixed tops and are sold separately. Chairs are not included. The table is delivered unassembled; also plan a protected place for the extension tops when they are not in use.

Extend the table when needed
Athens has a round top in its basic configuration and two included extension leaves. With one leaf, the table is 160 cm long, with two it is 200 cm. Handle the extension leaves carefully and store them flat, dry and protected when not in use. Follow the instructions on how to open and lock the extension mechanism; do not use force if the parts resist.
Care of ceramic and dark brown base
Clean the top with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Wipe up spills immediately and be careful around the edges and joints between the leaves. Use coasters for very hot or abrasive items. Wipe the base carefully and avoid standing moisture and abrasive agents that can damage the surface finish.
Assembly and handling
The table is delivered disassembled and weighs 113.7 kg net. Plan for several people when bringing it in and assembling it. Protect the ceramic surfaces, follow the assembly instructions that come with article 2203138 and check both stability and the extension function before the table is put into use.
