Dakar from House Nordic is a beige lounge chair with an open wooden frame and padded seat. Visible rubberwood details provide a warm contrast to the polyester upholstery and make the chair look airier than a fully upholstered lounge chair. Dakar is suitable as an extra seat in the living room or in a smaller reading nook where the furniture's wooden details can be seen.
A lounge chair with a relatively high seat. House Nordic states a seat height of 46.5 cm and a seat depth of 53 cm. Compare these dimensions with an armchair you already use, especially if you find standard low lounge chairs to be too close to the floor. A coffee table should be placed so that you can sit down and stand up without moving furniture.
Check the size on site. Dakar is 70 cm wide, 66 cm deep, and 70.5 cm high. The more open design gives a delicate impression, but the outer dimensions still need to fit between coffee tables, doors, and other furniture. Feel free to mark the outline on the floor and think through how you want to use the seating area before choosing.
Materials with different care requirements. The construction includes plywood, polyester, foam, and rubberwood. Vacuum the upholstery gently and blot spills without rubbing. Visible wooden parts should be dusted with a soft cloth and dried if they become damp. Avoid oiling or sanding the wood without product-specific instructions for the finish.

Choose based on seating dimensions
Dakar measures W 70 × D 66 × H 70.5 cm. The seat height is 46.5 cm, the seat depth 53 cm and the seat width 56 cm according to House Nordic. Compare these dimensions with an armchair you already sit comfortably in and check the distance to the coffee table and other furniture. The relatively high seat height is an important factor to consider if you prefer a low, reclined lounge chair.
Care for beige polyester
Vacuum the fabric regularly with a soft furniture nozzle and avoid hard brushing. Carefully remove dust where the upholstery meets the wooden frame and along the seams. Prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight can affect the color and should be avoided when possible.
If something spills on the upholstery
Blot up liquid quickly with a clean, absorbent cloth instead of rubbing. Avoid soaking the foam padding. If a cleaning agent is needed, choose one suitable for polyester upholstery and test it on a less visible area first. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not assume that the fabric can be machine washed.
How to care for the rubberwood
Dust the wooden details with a soft, clean cloth. Carefully remove dirt and wipe dry so that moisture does not remain on the wooden surfaces. Do not use coarse sponges, oil, wax, or sanding without the manufacturer's advice regarding the existing surface treatment. Use suitable furniture feet for the floor if necessary.
Delivery and contents
Dakar is delivered assembled and weighs 9.4 kg net. Check that the chair fits through hallways, doors, and stairs before purchase. Place it securely on a level floor and lift it when rearranging instead of dragging it. The maximum load capacity is stated as 110 kg.
