Metz by House Nordic has a round top in smoked oiled oak with a distinct wood grain and wooden legs. The darker oak tone highlights the grain, while the round shape brings the dining area together without long table edges. The table's special feature is hidden under the top: an integrated extension with a butterfly function.

When you need a longer dining area, the table opens and the folding extension top folds up from the center. The shape then changes from round to oblong. The top is stored inside the table when not in use, so you do not need to find space for a separate loose extension top. This is an important difference compared to several of House Nordic's other extendable dining tables.

This is Metz in smoked oak, a darker alternative to the same model in natural oak. House Nordic lists oak and steel as materials, as well as wooden legs. The purchase includes a dining table with the built-in extension, but no chairs. The table is delivered unassembled; follow the assembly instructions and make sure there is enough space for chairs even in the longer configuration.

Choose Metz by finish and location

This model has smoked oiled oak, while Metz in natural is lighter. Both have the same butterfly function with the top built into the table. Consider chairs and passage when the table is extended; no separate top needs to be stored.

Care for oiled oak

Wipe up spills immediately with a soft cloth. Clean gently with a lightly moistened, well-wrung cloth and dry afterwards. Use coasters for hot, damp or scratching objects and avoid standing water and abrasive cleaning. If the surface later needs to be oiled again, the treatment should first be checked against House Nordics' instructions for the smoked finish; do not use an arbitrary wood treatment.

Butterfly function and assembly

Open the table and carefully unfold the built-in top according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the top parts are positioned correctly before loading the table. Follow the original manual for Metz item 2201800/2201810 during assembly and use, and check that the table is level. House Nordic original manual for Metz (PDF).

Returns & right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for remote purchases. Contact VillaHome before returning an item, and we will provide you with the correct return address and practical instructions. The return address may vary depending on the product and delivery option.

If you already know that you want to withdraw from the purchase, we recommend that the item, if possible, remains unused and is returned well packaged, preferably in its original packaging. This is a recommendation for smoother handling and not a general condition for the right of withdrawal. When exercising the right of withdrawal, you are normally responsible for the direct return cost in accordance with our terms of purchase.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal may apply to certain products, for example, goods that have been manufactured according to your individual instructions or given a clear personal character. The fact that a product is a special-order item does not in itself mean that the right of withdrawal is forfeited.
