Olvera from House Nordic is a low lounge chair with an open frame in dark brown ash wood and a black PU-upholstered seat. The visible wooden construction creates a more open look than a fully upholstered chair, while the dark color combination makes the shape more pronounced. Olvera works well as an extra seat next to a sofa or as a freestanding chair with a small side table.
Wood and PU offer different properties. The visible parts of the ash wood are central to the chair's appearance, while the black PU surface is a synthetic, leather-like material—not genuine leather. Therefore, the seat should not be treated with leather oil or leather conditioner without checking the manufacturer's instructions. The dark brown finish also gives a different look compared to the natural-colored Olvera models in oak.
Is the low seating position right for you? The chair is 69 cm wide, 69 cm deep, and 72 cm high, with a seat height of 38 cm and a seat depth of 55 cm. These are the dimensions of a low lounge chair rather than an upright armchair. Please compare the seat height with the chair you usually use and check the space in front of the chair so that you can stand up without a footstool or coffee table in the way.
Complete it with the right footstool. For this specific dark brown Olvera in ash and black PU, there is an Olvera footstool in the same material and color finish. It is sold separately and is also linked under Matcha. Make sure you choose the dark brown stool; Olvera is also available in natural oak, but that is a different finish.
What is included? One Olvera lounge chair, item 1101164. House Nordic states a net weight of 9.7 kg, a maximum load capacity of 110 kg, and that the chair is delivered fully assembled. The load capacity should therefore be checked against the overall dimensions of the chair. The footstool, coffee table, and other furnishings are not included with this item.

Choose the right Olvera version
This model is dark brown ash wood with a black PU seat, item 1101164. The matching footstool has item number 1600011 and the same dark brown/black finish. Natural-colored Olvera chairs in oak have a different material and color combination. Compare them carefully if you want a uniform seating area.
Dimensions and seating position
Olvera is W 69 × D 69 × H 72 cm. The seat height is 38 cm, the seat depth 55 cm, and the seat width 59 cm according to House Nordic. The low seat means a different starting point than in a higher, more upright armchair. Also measure the free floor space in front of the armchair if a footstool is to stand there, and leave space to be able to sit down and get up.
Care of black PU upholstery
PU is a leather-like synthetic material. Remove dust with a soft cloth and wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth if necessary, followed by drying. Do not use leather oil, strong solvents, or abrasive sponges. In case of spills, blot up the liquid first. Optionally try a cleaning agent intended for PU on a less visible part.
Care of ash wood and floors
Dust the wooden frame with a clean, soft cloth. Remove moisture gently without leaving water against the wood finish. Avoid oiling, sanding, or varnishing the chair yourself without instructions for the specific surface treatment. Place the armchair on a level floor, use suitable floor protectors if necessary, and lift the furniture when moving it.
Delivery and what is included
The chair is delivered fully assembled according to House Nordic and weighs 9.7 kg net. Check that the entire armchair fits through doors and other passages. The maximum load is 110 kg. The purchase includes an armchair in dark brown ash wood and black PU; the footstool is purchased separately and is not included.
