Serra from House Nordic is a large dining table in natural-colored ash veneer, where the wide top takes center stage. The wood grain continues across the light surface and meets a base with natural-colored wooden legs. Instead of a strong color contrast, it is the top's generous proportions and wood tone that shape the impression.
Serra is ideal when you want to be able to set the table along both long sides and still have plenty of space in the middle for serving platters, bowls, and decorations. The unusually wide top is particularly relevant to compare with narrower dining tables if the dining area is to accommodate both many place settings and communal serving. Also allow space for chairs and passage around the entire table.
Serra has a fixed, rectangular top and does not need to be extended with extension leaves. The material is MDF with ash veneer, not solid ash. A dining table without chairs is included and it is delivered unassembled. Care of ash veneer
Wipe the surface with a soft, well wrung-out cloth and dry immediately. Wipe up spills quickly and avoid standing moisture, abrasive tools and harsh cleaning agents. Use coasters for hot, wet or scratching objects. Do not treat the veneered panel as untreated solid wood without the manufacturer's instructions.
Placement and choice
Serra has a wide fixed top. Allow space to be able to pull out chairs along the long sides and for passage around the short ends. The extra width provides space for communal serving in the middle of the table, but also takes up more space than a narrower top.
Assembly
The table is delivered disassembled and weighs 75 kg net. Plan for help when bringing it in and assembling it, protect the veneer surface and follow the assembly instructions for item 2203130. Check that the base is properly attached and that the table stands steadily before loading it.
