Solva by House Nordic combines a long, softly rounded tabletop in natural-colored ash veneer with two wide, cylindrical legs in a sand tone. The dense, vertical grooves of the base give the table a distinct texture, while the wood grain of the top contrasts with the smooth color palette. It is the interplay between the light wood surface and the sculptural legs that makes Solva special.
The elongated shape is ideal for a dining area where you want to gather several chairs along the long sides while still having plenty of surface area for setting the table and serving. The rounded short ends make the shape softer than that of a strictly rectangular table. MDF with ash veneer provides the wood look; the top is not described as solid ash.
This is the elongated Solva model. House Nordic also has a separate round table in the same sand and natural-colored style, if the room's layout is better suited for a smaller round dining area. Care of ash veneer and MDF
House Nordic recommends wiping furniture surfaces with a damp cloth, using only water or a mild cleaning agent. Always dry with a clean cloth. To avoid marks on the veneered surface, it is wise to wipe up spills immediately and use coasters under anything that may become wet or hot.
Assembly and stability
Solva is delivered unassembled. According to the manufacturer, assembly should be carried out on a soft surface, such as a rug, to reduce the risk of scratches. Read the entire manual before starting work. House Nordic states that screw connections should be retightened two weeks after assembly and then every three months.
Choose the right Solva
This is the elongated model with two cylindrical supports. The round Solva table is a separate product and is not included in the order. Check the free space in the dining area and the distance to chairs before choosing a shape.
