Turin from House Nordic combines a high, enveloping backrest with a practical swivel function. The natural-coloured polyester upholstery and beige metal frame create a cohesive look, while the chair's curved shape highlights the seating area. The swivel function allows you to turn the armchair towards the conversation, coffee table, or view without moving the entire piece of furniture across the floor.
This is a lounge chair that needs to be planned for in the room. Turin measures 76 cm in width, 86 cm in depth, and 100 cm in height. The height of the backrest makes it more prominent than a low lounge chair, and when you swivel the armchair, there needs to be enough space so that the backrest and armrests do not hit nearby furniture. It can serve as its own corner for reading or complement a sofa where the seating area sometimes needs to be directed in different directions.
How to choose the right seat dimensions. The seat height is 40 cm and the seat width 55 cm according to the manufacturer. Compare these dimensions with an armchair you already use. The low seat height is particularly important to take into account if you prefer a more upright sitting position. Turin has 100% polyester upholstery, polyurethane foam padding, and a construction of steel and plywood; these are different characteristics than those of a lounge chair with, for example, a loose seat cushion or wooden frame.
Material and use. House Nordic states Martindale 150,000 and a pilling rating of 4 for the upholstery. Martindale is a test value for abrasion and pilling describes the tendency to form pills; neither of the values says how the armchair feels to sit in or makes the fabric stain-resistant. Therefore, material, shape, dimensions, and care together provide the best basis for a decision.
Turin is delivered unassembled and weighs 14.3 kg net. The assembly instructions for item 1101194 are attached to the product. The armchair is sold individually; side tables, rugs, floor lamps, and other items in any lifestyle images are not included.

Plan for the swivel function
Turin has a swivel base. Allow space around the armchair so that it can be rotated without the armrests or back coming into contact with side tables, walls, or other furniture. The product dimensions are 76 × 86 × 100 cm (W × D × H). The seat height is 40 cm and the seat width 55 cm. It is recommended to compare the dimensions with your current armchair, especially if you prefer a higher seating position.
Care for the polyester upholstery
The upholstery consists of 100% polyester. Gently remove dust with a soft furniture nozzle, including in the transitions between the seat and back. In the event of a spill, blot up the liquid quickly with a clean absorbent cloth instead of rubbing. Only use stain removers intended for this type of furniture fabric and test them on a less visible area first. Do not unnecessarily soak the padding. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can affect the fabric's color.
What do Martindale and pilling say?
The supplier states Martindale 150,000 and a pilling rating of 4. Martindale describes the result of a fabric abrasion test; the pilling rating refers to the tendency to pill. These are product specifications, but they do not replace normal care and do not mean that the upholstery is immune to stains or that all types of wear are covered by any particular warranty.
Assembly and base
Turin is delivered unassembled. Use the assembly instructions for House Nordic Turin, item 1101194, which are available in the product's documentation section. Check the fastenings and ensure that the base stands stably on a level floor before using the armchair. The stated maximum load is 110 kg. Wipe beige metal parts with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaning. Use suitable floor protection if the floor surface needs to be protected.
What is included?
The product consists of a Turin lounge chair with a swivel function. No footstool, rug, or side table is included. When complementing with a lamp or a smaller table, they should be placed so that the armchair's rotation is not obstructed. Follow the product-specific assembly instructions instead of general instructions for other swivel chairs.
