Storage under the lid
Lift the upholstered seat to access the compartment. Place dry and lightweight items inside, such as a small throw, and make sure nothing protrudes so that the lid lies flat. Use the ottoman on a level surface and check that the seat is positioned correctly before anyone sits down.
Care for the patterned upholstery
Vacuum carefully with a soft furniture nozzle over both the top and sides. Blot spills with a clean cloth, avoid rubbing the pattern or soaking the padding through. Test any stain treatment on a hidden area first and avoid harsh detergents that may affect the upholstery.
Placement
Oriental lacks back support and is suitable as a freestanding extra seat or footstool rather than a sturdy work or dining chair. Do not place heavy or hot objects directly on the upholstered surface, and protect the ottoman from prolonged exposure to moisture.
