We recommend storing the cushion box under, for example, a roof to protect it from various weather conditions and dirt that can affect the wood, as wood is a living material.
The storage box has holes on the side, as seen in the picture, so it is not waterproof, and inside, the storage box looks essentially the same as on the outside, i.e., wood.
The storage bench is designed and manufactured in Finland.
It is surface-treated with stain or dip-painted. Despite this, the surface ages, and therefore we recommend cleaning and treating it at the beginning of each season and as needed.
Make sure to tighten the screws approximately two weeks after assembly.
If the cushion box is exposed to very severe weather conditions or heavy wear, refinishing can be done more often.
Refinishing is done with paint, stain, or wood oil.
- Protect the product from water and wind, as it can be damaged by changing weather.
- Store the storage bench in a dry place with good ventilation during winter.
- Assembly is performed according to the picture.
- Wood is a living material, and therefore small cracks and knots may appear.
- Do not cover damp or wet wooden furniture and avoid direct ground contact.
Temperature changes, as well as rain and sun, can affect the product's surface even though the wood has been treated by dip painting or staining.
Also, dirt and moisture left on the surface can potentially lead to surface mold
on the product, but with repeated and appropriate treatment, you extend the life of the storage bench.
We recommend protecting the product from dirt and weather, for example, with furniture covers or by storing it under a roof.
