This fire lantern provides a beautifully swirling flame for a magical feel.
The SPIN fire lantern 90 grey is an attractive fire lantern that is lit with bioethanol and produces a unique rotating flame.
The impressive flame is created by air currents being drawn upwards from below (the so-called chimney effect) in combination with the stainless steel container's "curved grooves" which cause the oxygen to rotate.
This in turn leads to a beautifully swirling flame.
Once you have lit the lantern, you can enjoy the fire for up to 1 hour without refilling.
However, remember not to refill with bioethanol immediately after the flame has gone out, as there is a risk of spontaneous combustion. Instead, wait until the refill canister has cooled down or switch to another canister.
If you want to extinguish the fire before then, you can do so using the included extinguishing lid, which quickly smothers the flame.
The fire lantern can be placed in the garden, on the balcony, terrace or even indoors in well-ventilated areas* (the latter does not apply when the lantern is combined with any of the SPIN accessories*).
Accessories available for purchase include an extension pole (for extra height) and a ground spike to transform the lantern into a garden torch (see SPIN ground spike grey and SPIN ground spike oak).

How to light the SPIN fire lantern
Time needed: 2 minutes.

Insert the bioethanol canister into the container
Place one of the SPIN refill canisters (we recommend having two) inside the base container.

Fill with bioethanol approximately four-fifths full
Fill the refill canister with bioethanol, not completely to the top but about four-fifths full. NOTE: Make sure the bioethanol has at least 80% alcohol for good burning).

Light the bioethanol with a lighter
Use, for example, an electric lighter to ignite the bioethanol.

Place the glass cylinder on top
Place the glass cylinder on top in its designated position.
- Now you have a beautifully rotating flame!
NOTE: Remember that it is always good to have a fire blanket or extinguisher close at hand when you have a live fire burning.
How to extinguish the SPIN fire lantern
- Place the included extinguishing lid on top of the glass cylinder
- The flame is now extinguished!
NOTE: If you want to light the fire again immediately, do not refill the already heated canister with bioethanol as there is a risk of spontaneous combustion. Instead, use the unused refill canister.
