Darwin in natural oak veneer from House Nordic is the smaller dining table model in the series. The top is elongated and slightly narrower than that of the large Darwin table, making it easier to place where the dining area needs to fit in a more limited floor space. The wood grain is visible in the light surface and gives the table a cohesive look even without a tablecloth.
This includes one extension top that extends the table when more people are to sit around it or you need extra space for serving. It is therefore a simpler choice between a short and long top, not a model with multiple extension steps. The larger Darwin model has two extension tops and requires significantly more space in its longest position.
The material is MDF and oak veneer, not a solid oak tabletop. The purchase includes a dining table and an extension top, but no chairs. The table requires assembly, and the loose top needs to be stored safely when not in use.

Choose between the smaller and larger Darwin
The smaller Darwin has an insertable top and comes in two lengths. It is narrower than the larger models and is suitable when you do not need their long standard format. Still plan for space for chairs and passage when the top is in use.
Care for natural oak veneer
Wipe up spills immediately. Clean with a soft, well-wrung cloth and dry again around joints and top edges. Use coasters for hot, wet or scratching objects. Avoid abrasive tools, harsh cleaning agents and standing moisture. Do not treat the veneer like untreated solid wood.
Insertable top and assembly
Carefully lift the insertable top in and out and store it flat, dry and protected when not in use. The table weighs 56.1 kg net and comes disassembled. Plan for assistance with lifting and assembly, follow the manufacturer's instructions for item 2202031 and check that the table is stable before use.
