Hawkes by House Nordic is a sand-colored lounge chair with a rounded, enveloping back and swivel function. The padded shape creates a distinct seating area, while the neutral color makes the chair easy to visually combine with different sofas, rugs, and wood types.
The swivel function gives freedom in the room. Hawkes can be turned towards the conversation, a window, or the TV without having to drag the entire piece of furniture across the floor. This is useful in open-plan spaces where the same seat may need to be directed in different directions. However, do not place a side table or a wall too close; the chair's back and sides need space when it is turned.
How to choose the seat dimensions. The armchair is 92 cm wide, 90 cm deep, and 75 cm high. The seat height is 43 cm and the seat depth 60 cm. Compare it with an armchair you already use, especially if you prefer a higher or more upright sitting position. Mark the outer contour on the floor and check that there is room for rotation as well as for sitting down and standing up.
Material and care. House Nordic states metal, polyester, plywood, and foam in the construction. The verified fiber composition of the outer fabric is 81% polypropylene and 19% polyester – something to keep in mind when choosing the right cleaning product. The upholstery is vacuumed carefully with a soft furniture nozzle and spills are blotted without rubbing. Keep in mind that a sand-colored fabric can show stains more clearly than a darker upholstery and therefore needs gentle ongoing care.

Placement for the swivel function
Hawkes measures W 92 × D 90 × H 75 cm, with a seat height of 43 cm and seat depth of 60 cm. Leave space around the entire chair so that the back can swivel without hitting walls, coffee tables, or other furniture. It is recommended to compare the seat dimensions with a chair you already enjoy before deciding on a location.
Care for mixed fabric upholstery
Vacuum gently with a soft furniture nozzle along the seat, back, and seams. Avoid hard brushing and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, as this can affect the appearance of the fabric. Clean the surfaces with consideration for the upholstery and do not unnecessarily soak the foam padding.
If you spill
Blot the liquid quickly with a clean and absorbent cloth. Do not rub the liquid into the fabric. If necessary, use a stain remover intended for this type of furniture fabric and test it on a hidden area first. Let the cleaned area dry and do not assume that the upholstery can be machine washed.
Stability and floors
Place the chair securely on a level surface and check that the base can swivel freely. Use suitable floor protectors if necessary, and lift the chair when rearranging instead of dragging it across the floor. The stated maximum load is 110 kg.
Delivery and contents
Hawkes is delivered assembled and weighs 29.8 kg net. Measure doorways, stairs, and other passages as the chair needs to be carried as a single piece of furniture. One sand-colored Hawkes lounge chair is included, but no separate side table, footstool, or other furnishings.
