Messina from House Nordic is a light grey swivel armchair with a rounded silhouette and a distinct bouclé texture. The small loops in the polyester upholstery add character to the neutral colour, while its compact shape makes it ideal as a freestanding seat in the living room.
The swivel function makes it easy to turn the chair towards the sofa set, a conversation or a window without dragging it across the floor. It also requires a little planning: the rounded back needs enough space to move freely away from walls and side tables. Messina is 85 cm wide, 87 cm deep, has a seat height of 42 cm and a seat depth of 57 cm.
The outer fabric is made of 100% polyester with a bouclé finish. House Nordic states a Martindale rating of 30,000, and the upholstery should be vacuumed carefully so that the loops are not damaged by hard brushing. Messina is delivered assembled and weighs 32 kg, so check the access route before ordering. One light grey swivel armchair is included; tables, lamps and other furnishings are sold separately.

Choose a swivel armchair with the right space
Messina measures W 85 × D 87 × H 81 cm and has a seat height of 42 cm and a seat depth of 57 cm. Check how the chair stands in the room even when it is turned. Leave space so that the rounded back does not hit walls, coffee tables, or other furniture. Compare the seat dimensions with a chair you already enjoy, especially if you prefer a higher or more upright sitting position.
Care of light grey bouclé
The bouclé upholstery has small loops and consists of 100% polyester. House Nordic states Martindale 30,000 and a pilling rating of 4–5, which provides comparison values for the fabric but does not guarantee that it will withstand all types of wear or stains. Vacuum carefully with a soft furniture nozzle and avoid pulling or brushing hard against the loops. Remove dust even where the seat and back meet. Loose dirt should be removed regularly before it works its way down into the fabric. The upholstery's texture should not be treated with coarse brushes or scraping tools.
In case of spills or stains
Blot up liquid as soon as possible with a clean and absorbent cloth. Avoid hard rubbing and saturating the foam padding with water. Try any furniture fabric cleaner on a less visible surface and follow the product's instructions. Let the upholstery dry thoroughly after treatment. Protect the chair from prolonged strong direct sunlight.
Carrying in and base
Messina is delivered fully assembled and weighs 32 kg net. Check the transport route through doors, elevators, and stairs before ordering. Place the armchair on a level surface, check that it stands steadily and turn carefully so that it does not hit other furniture. Lift when rearranging and use floor protection suitable for the surface if necessary.
Same series and what is included
The product includes a light grey Messina lounge chair with a swivel function. Tables, lamps, rugs, and a separate footstool are not included. Messina is also available in a light brown version within the same series. Check the materials, color, and current assortment if you are comparing them – the same series does not automatically mean identical fabric.
