Sofia by House Nordic is a low, wide lounge chair that lets its rounded, fully upholstered shape speak for itself. The brown fabric gives a warm expression that pairs well with light-colored sofas, natural materials, and darker wood details. Since the back is also upholstered, Sofia can stand freely in the room and not just close to a wall.
The seating position is worth considering before you choose. Sofia has a seat height of 40 cm, seat depth of 59 cm, and seat width of 76 cm. It is 83 cm wide in overall dimensions, so also plan for passage around the armchair and the right distance to the coffee table.
The brown outer fabric consists of 85% polyester and 15% acrylic. It differs from the sand-colored Sofia, which has a different fabric blend despite the same model name. Compare with Sofia in sand if you want to choose between the colors. Brown Sofia is delivered assembled; you are buying an armchair without an ottoman or other furniture.

Plan according to the chair's low profile
The brown Sofia armchair is 83 cm wide, 76 cm deep and 72 cm high. The seat height of 40 cm and seat depth of 59 cm make it different from a regular, higher armchair. Check both the space for the furniture and the area in front of it where you need to be able to stand up. Compare it with your existing seating furniture to assess the height and distance to the coffee table.
Care for polyester and acrylic
The brown outer fabric consists of 85% polyester and 15% acrylic. Vacuum regularly with a soft furniture nozzle without pressing hard on the padding. Remove dust especially along the seams and in the joint between the back and seat. Avoid heavy brushing, strong chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight that can affect the appearance of the upholstery.
If something spills
Immediately blot up the spill with a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing the liquid in or soaking the foam padding. Only use stain removers that are suitable for this textile blend and test them on a hidden area first. Let the upholstery dry before using the chair. Check the material's label before any washing; do not assume that the cover is removable or machine washable.
Bringing in and placement
Sofia is delivered as a fully assembled armchair, with a net weight of 26 kg. Make sure that the entire chair can fit through the entrance, doorways and stairs before delivery. Place it securely on a level floor, protect the floor surface with suitable furniture feet if necessary and lift the armchair instead of dragging it when rearranging the furniture.
What is included and how do you choose the color?
One brown Sofia lounge chair is included; side tables, lamp and footstool are sold separately. The armchair is also available in sand, but that version has polyester and cotton in the upholstery. Therefore, choose between the colors based on both how they fit into the room and the difference in materials, not just the same model name.
