The Osaka in black oak veneer from House Nordic has a wide, oblong tabletop with softly rounded corners and a distinctive base. The ribbed supports add texture beneath the large dark surface, while the veneer grain ensures the tabletop retains a wood-like appearance. This table is rectangular from the outset, unlike the round Osaka tables, which can be extended into an oblong shape.
The standard length is 200 cm. With one of the two included extension leaves, the table becomes 250 cm long, and with both, it reaches 300 cm. This allows you to choose the amount of continuous surface area needed for dining and serving. The generous width remains the same even when the table is extended.
Choose the rectangular Osaka if you want a long table for everyday use, with the option to extend it further. The black finish sets it apart from the natural and smoked versions in the collection. The tabletop is made of oak veneer and MDF, not solid oak. One table and two extension leaves are included, but no chairs. The table is assembled on site; plan for its longest configuration and decide where the loose leaves will be stored.

Choose Osaka by the table's basic shape
This model is 200 cm long without extension leaves and can be extended to 250 or 300 cm. If you want a round table for everyday use, you should instead choose one of the series' round extendable models. Plan for seating and passage at 300 cm, not just at the shortest length.
Care for black oak veneer
Wipe up spills quickly with a soft cloth and clean as needed with a well-wrung cloth. Dry thoroughly around the edges and joints between the table tops. Use coasters for hot, wet, and abrasive objects and avoid abrasive tools, standing moisture, and harsh cleaning agents. Also carefully dust the ribs of the base with a soft brush or cloth.
Extension and assembly
The two loose extension leaves are included. Handle the leaves and fittings carefully when extending and store the leaves flat, dry, and protected when not in use. The table weighs 69.24 kg net and is delivered disassembled. Plan for help when bringing it in and assembling it, and follow the instructions for exact item 2202987. Check that the table stands steadily and that the parts are correctly assembled before use.
