The black Osaka model from House Nordic starts as a round dining table, but takes on an elongated silhouette when you add the extensions. Under the dark tabletop, two ribbed supports with different shapes are visible, one rounded and one more angular. The grooves give the base a distinct texture, while the grain of the oak veneer shows through the black finish.
You can keep the round top for everyday use and insert one of the two included extension tops when you need a length of 160 cm. With both, the table becomes 200 cm long. This gives you a real choice between a compact round dining area and more table space when more people are sitting at the table. The top consists of oak veneer and MDF, not solid oak.
Choose this version for the black color and the two-step extension. Osaka is also available as a fixed round table and as a longer extendable model with three extension tops; these are separate products. This includes the table and two extension tops, but no chairs. Remember to leave space for chairs and passage even when the table is fully extended, as well as a place to store the tops when they are not in use.

Extension and placement
The two included extension leaves extend the round table in two stages. Handle the leaves carefully so that edges, surfaces and fittings do not knock together, and store them flat, dry and protected when not in use. Plan the dining area according to the longest configuration and chairs that need to be pulled out.
Care for black oak veneer
Wipe up spills quickly and clean with a soft, well-wrung cloth. Dry thoroughly, especially around the edges and joints of the leaves. Avoid standing moisture, harsh cleaning agents and abrasive tools. Use coasters for hot, damp or scratching objects and do not treat the veneered surface like untreated solid wood.
Assembly and inspection
The table weighs 57.65 kg net and is delivered unassembled. Protect the parts with a soft surface during assembly and plan lifts with the help of others. House Nordics' original instructions for items 2203000–2203002 state that screw connections should be retightened two weeks after assembly and thereafter every three months.
